Prague / EDEN - On Thursday 3 November the football club Slavia officially opened a new building of the Football Youth Center. That building was produced, delivered and assembled by the company KOMA MODULAR CONSTRUCTION. New facility is located in premises of Eden, between the athletic center and the football training pitch, in the place of original objects. In the two-floor building, all youth teams will find the base, from the youngest teams up to the U17 team (players of the team U18 and U19 play at Strahov pitch). The second floor is reserved for female football and for changing rooms of visiting teams.

In the old building the every season got a large rotation of the teams. In the new building all teams get their own changing rooms and they will use them till they grow up. Only the prep-teams will use the changing rooms for visiting teams during competition matches. On the ground floor there is a background for the technical staff (Lawnmower Man, pitch maintenance, etc.). A Secretariat and youth coaches will have their offices also there.

Two entrace staircase are decorated with large photographs of Martin Vaniak and Vladimir Šmicer. They are also a safety feature staircase. In the preparation of the training center took part a team of the technical department Slavia (Organizational and Operational Manager Mr Jiří Trepeš, his deputy Mr. Jiří Nerad), Mr. Josef Mixa (Managing Director of Phoenix-Zeppelin company, which is an investor and contractor), Mr. Jan Blecha (Director rentals Phoenix-Zeppelin), Mr. Peter Pina - director of the civic association SK Slavia Prague (landowner), and representatives of the company Koma Modular Construction Vizovice (producer of the whole modular building).

The original container building should only be a temporary solution, but ultimately there lasted seven years,“ explained the Organizational and Operational Manager, Mr. Jiří Trepeš Slavia. The renting of modules was financially disadvantageous for Slavia. The goal was the destruction of all temporaries. The containers model for changing rooms were proved. The operation of the building is economical and it is easy to make any adjustments, continued Mr. Jiří Trepeš. The full report can be read here.
