In Jih­la­va in the Czech Repub­lic has long suf­fe­red from a lack of spa­ce for its pre­scho­o­lers. In 2010 the city coun­cil was short of 100 or so scho­ol pla­ces and the­re­fo­re they used the KOMA sys­tem to build a two-sto­rey kin­der­gar­ten with four clas­sro­oms. The kin­der­gar­ten was built within three mon­ths accor­ding to a design by the archi­tect Tomáš Cen­de­lín, who made par­tial use of woo­den facing.The installati­on of modu­lar kin­der­gar­ten took 6 weeks.
