The need for a rapid respon­se to muni­ci­pal demo­gra­phic deve­lo­p­ment was add­res­sed by the city hall of the Bel­gi­an city of Sint-Nikla­as, whe­re the KOMA sys­tem was first used for part of the scho­ol faci­li­ty and a few years later was then expan­ded to meet the needs of the local peo­ple. The use of lar­ge-for­mat Tre­spa panel­ling bre­athes fre­sh air into both ele­men­ta­ry and kin­der­gar­tens in one attracti­ve design.
